My life after you

Why
Why I never realized my life
It was important
It wasn't to entertain someone else's
It wasn't meant to only be a wife to you
My husband
You forgot
I was a human too
I was a person too
I had feelings
I have feelings
You broke me
Piece by piece
Thinking my life mattered less
I needed help
I was grieving
I was in mourning
After losing you dear father
I was all alone
I didn't know how to ask for help
You were always there
I didn't have to ask
Then
And then
You left
Not that you choose
You had to
Dear Dad I missed you
I was a birdie with broken wings
I was birdie who forgot to sing
I needed help
That's what I needed
help
Help
And my son.. you taught me
How to ask for help
I am sane for you
I will always stay happy
Healthy and keep you both
Happy, healthy and safe
