63 days to New Year!
You read it right! It is just 63 days left in Next year! The new year. 2014. Doesn't it seem like yesterday ! well not exactly yesterday but you know what I mean. It was just like yesterday when the Year was changed from 2012 to 2013. Yup we all survived 2012. The year of everything ends.
2012 ended and 2013 came, there came your resolutions. The parking lot in my YMCA was all full. For about month and half. I guess in 5-6 weeks the resolutions started wearing off and then it was same old routine with so many excuses. Some of you might have quit the alcohol and some might have started coz you fulfilled your resolution from last year well. You were so sure that this year will make a difference and world will be a better place. May be the adults didn't and young ones believed in that.
Do we stopped imagining good things when we are grown up. Why don't we believe in miracles when we are adults. Why do we choose to quit so quickly but we get mad when our kids do that.
I know.. if you know me even you know by now that I get derailed on the topic and we will start discussing different things for a while and then come back to our topic.
So here we are.. once again back on track. I am glad there was no train coming. This is our Laugh Out Loud moment. I really wish Blogs should add the applause just like the old fashioned shows.
The New Year is just around the corner.. 63 days away. So many things to do first. Plan for a vacation. Plan for Thanksgiving if you are in USA. Then comes the tree. The presents. Christmas Dinners. Get Togethers. New Year Celebration. Kissing with Clock marking New Year arrival. Next day the very first day of the year.. You are all sleepy. In the bed. All lazy. This has been happening for ever.May be not the organizing part and kissing as well. But you lazy on New Year's first day. Isn't it. We haven't learnt the lesson yet eh!What if this year you do something different.
Not a new resolution! No! Resolutions and Promises are meant to be broken we have learnt that so far.
This year from Jan 1st, make one person happy a day. By the end of the year you will make 365 people happy. Thats what you know. These 365 people who were having a better and happier day will make another countless people happy. There starts a chain of happiness. That is always strong and full of vigour. Now just because we thought this is something to be done from Jan 1st 2014 that doesn't mean now you will just be who you are. You have 63 days to start the practice. Why now practice now so you are totally in tune with your feelings and you will always stay on the track to be a good human.
All it takes to be a good human is have a compassionate heart. Have empathy. If you have a heart that beats and feels others pain and joy you are a human. If you are always there to make things better for others and help others, you are a good human.
If you are a good human, you will always try to make sure that things around you are always positive. You will not stand any negativity and you will always stand up for right things.
This is you making your society a better place for everyone.
Now imagine everyone is doing that.
