As a mother I always make sure I keep my kids protected from any hurt and harm. To do so we have to make sure they know the basics and of course that you would trust them. If its a broken cup or a toy its easier to talk to and about. But when it comes to a child being touched inappropriately or molested either that child never talks about coz no one will believe him or her or they arent aware whats happening till damage is done to the child's personality and life.
Talk to your kids about child abuse. Doesn't matter its a boy or a girl you have. Keeping our kids safe is our priority.
Our kids are well aware of stranger danger but the monsters lurking inside the house stay hidden many times. Those the ones the kids should be saved from.
As a young girl I always thought the evil ot bad people will look like the fairy tale bad people.  Ugly, monstrous and evil. Later realized that evil is many times hidden behind handsome and gentlemanly faces.
Thats why I always made sure to tell kids to not to be judgemental over looks. Looks are deceptive.
Trust me, coz of all this I am never comfortable leaving my kids anywhere. When its about your kid keeping them safe is first priority.
